Tokyo Cement Group is the undisputed market leader in manufacturing high quality cement, concrete and cement-based value-added products in Sri Lanka, operating the largest concrete network and the country's only ISO certified cement and concrete testing lab. We are seeking dynamic and results-driven Assistant Quality Controllers to join our Ready-mix Concrete team in Colombo. The selected candidates will play a key role in maintaining and improving the quality standards of our concrete production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine quality tests on raw materials, in-process, and finished products
- Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and calibration records
- Record and analyze test results to ensure compliance with specifications
- Assist in preparing quality reports and documentation for internal and external audits
- Identify and report any quality deviations or non-conformances promptly
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of QA/QC procedures
- Coordinate with production and site teams to resolve quality issues
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Adhere to safety and environmental regulations in the lab and plant areas
Qualifications & Requirements
- B.Sc. degree in Physical/Material Science with Chemistry as a subject from a recognized university
- Previous experience in QA/QC-related work will be an added advantage
- Good command of English and computer literacy is mandatory
- Strong time management skills and keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion
- Effective communication skills with excellent interpersonal and people management abilities
- Age should be below 35 years
