Cluster Accounts Executive / Cluster Accountant - Construction Finance Division

• Supervise Site Accountants across the assigned cluster and ensure consistent implementation of finance policies and SAP procedures
• Review and approve all daily SAP entries relating to fuel, labour and manpower payments, and petty cash
• Verify each SAP entry against physical supporting documents, including approved requests, invoices, receipts, payment sheets, fuel records and relevant authorisations
• Ensure daily cash issuances and settlements are accurately recorded in SAP before approval
• Check that expenditure is properly classified and allocated to the correct site and cost centre
• Monitor daily cash float balances, outstanding advances and unsettled transactions for each site
• Review labour and manpower payment summaries against approved attendance, rates, payment sheets and supporting records
• Verify fuel consumption and expenditure against approved fuel requests, vehicle/equipment details, fuel logs and receipts
• Review petty cash expenditure for policy compliance, authorisation and correct expense coding
• Ensure Site Accountants prepare complete weekly reconciliations and submit them within the agreed deadline
• Investigate discrepancies and unclear settlements, maintain an ageing register, and ensure resolution within 10 calendar days
• Submit verified weekly reconciliation packs to the Chief Accountant for review and sign-off
• Prevent recommendation or processing of additional cash floats where previous balances remain unreconciled
• Conduct periodic physical cash counts and document checks at assigned sites
• Escalate suspected fraud, duplicate payments, unsupported expenditure or significant control breaches immediately
• Provide training and guidance to Site Accountants on SAP usage, documentation and reconciliation procedures

• Degree, HND or professional qualification in Accounting or Finance
• Part qualification in CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification will be an advantage
• Minimum 4-6 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or multi-site operations
• Experience supervising accounting staff and handling cash reconciliations
• Working knowledge of SAP Business One or a comparable ERP system
• Strong attention to detail, communication, problem-solving and organisational skills
