GROW WITH PURPOSE / LEAD WITH HEART We have an exciting opportunity for a Assistant Manager, Public Relations to join Cinnamon Colombo City Hotels, part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka's largest hotel owner with a portfolio of 17 hotels and resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, one of the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka. This role will report to the Director, Marketing and will support the PR initiatives across Cinnamon Grand, Cinnamon Lakeside, and Cinnamon Red Colombo.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute integrated PR strategies and annual PR calendars for the Colombo city hotels. Drive earned media across travel, lifestyle, business, F&B, luxury, MICE and entertainment segments. Ensure PR activity is aligned with marketing and commercial objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with local, regional and international media. Proactively pitch stories, features and exclusives to key media. Manage media enquiries and coordinate interviews with General Managers, Executive Chefs and senior leaders. Plan and manage media stays, familiarisation visits, press trips, launches, tastings and media events. Build relationships with influencers, content creators and digital opinion leaders. Coordinate influencer stays and collaborations. Lead PR around key hotel events, launches, dining promotions, festivals, entertainment and commercial campaigns. Support crisis communications and reputation management.
Qualifications & Requirements
5+ years of experience in public relations, communications, journalism, hospitality PR or agency PR. Proven track record of delivering PR campaigns for a leading brand, ideally in hospitality, tourism, luxury, lifestyle, F&B or consumer sectors. Strong relationships with Sri Lankan media and preferably regional media. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional storytelling, copywriting and pitching ability. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
