We are looking for a confident, dynamic, outgoing and results-oriented News Video Editor with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit Breaking News videos quickly and accurately under tight deadlines
- Edit news footage, interviews, press conferences, political speeches and news packages
- Identify the most relevant footage and key moments of each story
- Prioritise urgent news stories and handle multiple assignments at once
- Add audio edits, subtitles, captions, lower thirds and news graphics
- Produce videos for Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and other digital news platforms
- Maintain editorial accuracy and professional broadcast standards
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of professional video editing experience, preferably in a television news channel or digital news media environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is mandatory
- Excellent speed in editing and good news sense
- Strong interest in news, current affairs, politics and ongoing events
- Basic knowledge of audio editing, subtitles, captions, lower thirds and news graphics
- Experience editing videos for Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and other digital news platforms
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced newsroom environment
- Teamwork, responsibility and a proactive attitude towards assigned tasks
