The Junior Executive – Purchasing is responsible for supporting and coordinating daily purchasing activities to ensure the timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining the required quality, cost, and operational standards of the hotel. This role involves assisting with sourcing and supplier coordination, particularly for Engineering items and related supplies, maintaining knowledge of relevant products and suppliers, preparing and maintaining purchasing documentation, coordinating with internal departments, monitoring purchase orders and deliveries, and supporting the Purchasing Department in achieving its operational objectives. We are looking for passionate individuals with a flair for hospitality and a strong commitment to exceptional guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing goods and services required for the smooth operation of the hotel.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations based on price, quality, availability, and delivery terms.
- Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and follow up on timely deliveries.
- Coordinate with suppliers, Stores, Finance, and relevant departments regarding purchasing requirements and invoice-related matters.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and support cost-control, supplier evaluation, and procurement improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Good knowledge of sourcing Engineering items and suitable supplies, comparing quotations, preparing purchase orders, and following established procurement procedures.
- Strong communication, negotiation, coordination, and analytical skills with good attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to work effectively with ERP/procurement systems.
- Preferably a diploma or degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Finance, or a related field.
