PROBATIONARY LECTURER - Biomedical Science

• Deliver undergraduate lectures and practical laboratory sessions in Biomedical Science.
• Develop and continuously improve lecture notes, practical manuals, assessments, and learning resources.
• Facilitate student-centered learning through interactive teaching methods and modern educational technologies.
• Prepare, conduct, and evaluate examinations, assignments, presentations, and practical assessments.
• Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and pastoral support to students.
• Maintain accurate academic records using the University's Learning Management System (LMS) and ERP platforms.
• Participate in curriculum development, quality assurance, accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate academic activities, timetables, practical sessions, and departmental administrative functions.
• Support research, scholarly activities, and professional development.
• Contribute to faculty events, outreach programmes, and other institutional initiatives.

Applicants should possess one of the following academic qualifications:

• A First Class or Second Class (Upper Division) in a Special Degree in the relevant subject;
• OR
• A Second Class (Lower Division) in a Special Degree in the relevant subject
• And
• a postgraduate research degree in the relevant field, with a prescribed period of registration of not less than two academic years.

In addition, applicants should have at least two (2) years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Teaching at university level;
• Professional experience in the relevant field; or
• Research experience in a recognized institution.
