We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our team as a Logistics Officer - RMC Operations in Peliyagoda.
Job Role
The Logistics Officer will be responsible for managing the dispatch and transportation of ready-mixed concrete to various construction sites. The role includes resource planning, vehicle coordination and working closely with internal teams to ensure timely, safe and cost-effective deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily transportation of ready-mixed concrete to construction sites
- Work collaboratively with the sales team to resolve customer delivery issues
- Optimise delivery schedules and routes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Oversee the condition and maintenance of the delivery vehicle fleet
- Ensure logistical operations comply with internal processes and safety standards
- Monitor and report on delivery performance and operational metrics
Qualifications & Requirements
- GCE A/L qualification
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with logistics software is advantageous
- Basic knowledge or experience in vehicle maintenance, especially in the transportation of ready-mixed concrete
- Age below 45 years
