We have an exciting opportunity for an Intern, Finance to join Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams, part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka’s largest hotel owner with a portfolio of 17 hotels and resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, one of the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in daily finance operations, including data entry, invoice processing, and documentation.
- Support accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in maintaining financial records, files, and reports in line with company standards.
- Support month-end closing activities and preparation of basic financial reports.
- Collaborate with the finance team on ad-hoc tasks and process improvements.
- Assist in reconciling financial data and identifying discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
