We have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Rooms to join Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams, part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts—Sri Lanka’s largest hotel owner with a portfolio of 17 hotels and resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. This is a chance to join John Keells Holdings PLC, one of the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Rooms Division, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Concierge, and related guest services.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations of the Rooms Division to ensure exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyse departmental performance, implementing strategies to improve occupancy, revenue generation, and overall guest experience.
- Revenue Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Revenue Management and Sales teams to optimise room inventory and maximise revenue opportunities.
- Team Development: Lead, coach, and develop departmental leaders and teams to build a high-performing, guest-focused service culture.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with brand standards, operational policies, quality assurance requirements, and health and safety regulations.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee departmental budgeting, cost control initiatives, and financial performance while managing VIP guest relations and resolving complex guest concerns.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Experience: 8–10 years of experience in Rooms Division leadership within luxury or international hotel brands, including at least 3 years in a senior management role.
- Operational Capability: Proven ability to manage large teams and complex hotel operations in a high-volume environment.
- Leadership: Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills with a strong guest service orientation.
- Communication: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
