Accounts Executive

Homelands Group, an award-winning Superbrand and CS2-graded (CIDA) real estate and construction brand, is hiring an Accounts Executive to join the team in Negombo. This role focuses on keeping numbers accurate and supporting business growth, offering the opportunity to build a career with a trusted brand with a strong vision for the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and update financial transactions on a daily basis
- Prepare and process payments, receipts, invoices, and journal entries
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management reports
- Maintain petty cash records and monitor cash flow transactions
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records
- Assist with payroll processing and statutory payments when required
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation
- Coordinate with other departments regarding financial and payment-related matters
- Perform any other finance and accounting duties assigned by the management
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar accounting role
- Knowledge of Sri Lankan accounting practices and financial regulations is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with accuracy
