Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Manage: Lead and manage a dedicated QS team, ensuring effective delegation, accountability, and professional development.
- Commercial Management: Oversee project cost management, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.
- Contract Administration: Manage variations, claims, interim valuations, and final accounts while protecting the commercial interests of the company.
- Cost Control: Monitor project costs, identify commercial risks, and provide accurate reports and recommendations to management.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely commercial decisions and project delivery.
- Strategic Contribution: Support the development of a strong second-level management structure within the QS Division.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Qualification: Chartered status from IQSSL is mandatory, with professional memberships in AIQS and RICS.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management.
- Expertise: Extensive experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Contract Administration, and Commercial Management.
- Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing Quantity Surveying teams.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, cost control, variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Advantage: Experience in large-scale residential and high-rise developments will be an added advantage.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and internal management teams.
