Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure data services to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks, enabling end-to-end data integration and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows on Azure
- Build and optimize data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Databricks
- Develop robust data models to support analytics and reporting requirements
- Ensure efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage across enterprise systems
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and data quality
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
- Monitor and optimize performance of data pipelines and processing jobs
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in production environments
- Work with large-scale structured and unstructured data sets
- Contribute to architecture decisions for modern data platforms
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Data Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Platform
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Azure Data Lake (Gen2 preferred)
- Azure Databricks
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or Scala
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and big data processing
- Knowledge of Spark-based processing and distributed computing
- Familiarity with CI/CD for data pipelines is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
