SPAR SL (Private) Limited is looking for a Senior Executive - Procurement (Fresh) to manage procurement for allocated fresh product categories, lead Store Executives across departments, drive category profitability and build strong relationships with suppliers and farmers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities for allocated fresh product categories
- Guide and lead Store Executives across relevant departments to achieve category objectives
- Monitor supplier performance, fill rates and product availability
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favourable commercial terms
- Drive category profitability through effective category management and merchandising
- Manage promotions, supplier claims and warehouse inventory performance
- Conduct market research and category reviews to identify growth opportunities
- Support strategic decision-making through timely reporting and analysis
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and farmers
Qualifications & Requirements
- G.C.E. O/L and A/L qualifications
- Degree, Diploma or professional qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement within a retail environment or a similar role
- Strong IT proficiency, particularly in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Good communication skills in both Sinhala and English
- Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
