Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site role based in Colombo for a Documentation & Operations Executive in a freight forwarding organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage import documentation and related shipping documents in line with regulatory, customer and carrier requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams, customers and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate document flow, booking confirmations and shipment updates
- Maintain document records, verify data and resolve documentation discrepancies
- Support operational processes such as cargo scheduling and tracking
- Communicate proactively, adhere to compliance standards and collaborate continuously to improve documentation and operational efficiency
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong skills in Import / Export Documentation and operational procedures
- Effective communication skills for coordination with customers, carriers and internal teams
- Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics or shipping operations is highly beneficial
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, Incoterms and customs requirements is an advantage
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines
