SENIOR EXECUTIVE TAX

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Senior Executive, Tax to join Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams Sri Lanka, part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka's largest hotel owner with a portfolio of 17 hotels and resorts across Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, one of Sri Lanka's largest listed conglomerates.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all statutory tax requirements including VAT, TDL, WHT, SSCL, and Income Tax
- Prepare and review tax computations, returns, and supporting schedules in line with Inland Revenue Department regulations
- Liaise with tax authorities and manage tax audits, inquiries, and assessments effectively
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and evaluate the impact on business operations
- Perform reconciliations of tax-related General Ledger Led accounts counts and consolidate tax records across business units
- Provide support during external and internal audits on tax-related matters
- Maintain accurate documentation and records for all tax transactions and filings
- Act as a key advisor to internal stakeholders on tax-related matters and compliance requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Part or fully qualified in CA or a recognized Professional/Academic qualification in Taxation
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in taxation with strong knowledge of Sri Lankan tax regulations and compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage
